Job Description:An exciting opportunity to lead an expanding team within a forward thinking, progressive company. Responsibilities: - Deal with all aspects of the billing process within assigned time frames, while strictly ensuring accuracy. - Oversee the activities of all billers and ensure the availability of sufficient resources to meet the requirements of the billing department, providing direct billing support when and where necessary. - Schedule appropriate training sessions for all new billers. - Reviewing and adjusting accounts. - Provide ongoing support to clients and track progress of bills to ensure all are progressing. - Provide assistance to clients as and when required with complicated bills including the reconciliation of client accounts. - Provide progress updates to Finance Director on a monthly basis. - Contribute ideas as to how WIP (work in progress) can be reduced and billing is managed at an even pace throughout the year avoiding major period end peaks. - Oversee the query conclusion process (including queries from clients, Law Accountants and other external bodies) professionally and pro actively - Must understand the entire revenue cycle process including EDI submissions, A/R (Accounts Receivable) Follow up and electronic receipts of medical records.
Skills Required
- Must posses expert-level knowledge of Revenue Cycle Management- Ability to manage a team of 50 individuals- Ability to effectively initiate and manage multi-disciplined projects. - Up-to-date knowledge of reimbursement regulations and compliance issues of third party payers (Insurance companies). Capable of managing accounts receivable in an environment with multiple third party managed care contracts. - Strong professional demeanor with the inherent quality to rapidly establish credibility and rapport with clinicians, managers, customers and external groups. - Ability to identify opportunities and solutions for process improvement along with the skills of planning & implementation of these solutions.
