This is an exciting opportunity to work for a leading shipping company in Abu Dhabi. Our client is seeking a Sales Manager reporting to the Commercial Director who will be responsible for sales strategy implementation, budgets and non-financial targets. The successful candidate will assist with budget preparation, monitoring and establishing strategic marketing plans as well as assisting in the translation of the sales strategy into business targets, budges and tangible plans. You will also be responsible for attracting customers and ensuring a highly professional relationship with decision makers. You will drive and manage the customer value proposition to secure growth and profitable sales development which will be critical to the success of this role. You will coach, train and develop junior staff within the department and develop the skills and performance of individual team members. The ideal candidate will have excellent negotiation and analytical skills. To be considered for this role you must have at least seven years of direct sales experience in the shipping or ports industry as well as an excellent knowledge of transportation, sales methods and best practices.
